We require a three night minimum stay, however, many of our guests stay longer!
Reservations

Method of payment
We send invoices digitally through Square, which requires a card payment and includes a 3% surcharge. We do accept cash and checks if discussed ahead of time. An 8% Montana Lodging & Facility Tax is not included in the pricing. All rates are subject to change.
Check-in and check-out
Check-in is 4:00 p.m., and check-out is 11:00 a.m.
Deposit and cancellation
A deposit of 50% of the lodging amount is required for all ranch stays. The balance will be due before the time of departure. Deposits are non-refundable unless your trip is canceled 90 days PRIOR to arrival. Deposits will not be refunded if the cancellation date is within 90 days of the reservation date. If refunded, this does not include the 3.3% transaction fee.
No smoking
Our cabins are smoke free. There will be an additional $500 recovery fee charged to the guest if there is smoking in a cabin.
Pets
Chief Joseph Ranch does not allow pets.
The lodge
The lodge is our family home and is not available for stays.
Tours
Chief Joseph Ranch does not offer tours without a cabin reservation. A tour of the ranch and sets is included with every reservation.
Weddings and events
We receive many requests each year for weddings. Unfortunately, that is not a service we offer.
